Michael and Charlie Kalish co-founded Food Safety Guides (FSG) in 2013, a U.S-based food safety consulting and training firm.

FSG’s mission is to streamline food safety plan development for businesses of all sizes and to make food safety system development a value-adding process for companies and their teams. FSG consultants provide the framework, tools and guidance to maintain a structured path forward to achieve safe food, regulatory compliance and 3rd party certification.

Michael Kalish

Michael began his career in the dairy and meat processing industries, working on over a dozen farms and facilities across the USA, France, Switzerland and Italy. He received his formal training in dairy and meat processing at l’istituto lattiero caseario e delle tecnologie agroalimentari (Italy), and has managed operations for food facilities in France and New York City. Michael is a Lead Instructor for FSPCA PCHF, PCAF and FSVP courses and a registered SQF trainer. He has served as a panelist and presenter at food safety conferences and seminars across the United States and abroad. Michael is also an accomplished television personality as a Food Network Chopped Finalist and Winner of the Great Food Truck Race (Series 7).

Charlie Kalish

A former Fulbright scholar, Charlie is an expert on FSMA, preventive controls, and cloud technologies for food safety plan development. Prior to co-founding FSG, Charlie worked a half-dozen farms and cheese plants in Europe and the U.S., manufacturing and processing specialty cheese and milk products. Charlie is a frequent panelist and speaker for regulatory compliance panels and seminars, and is an FSPCA PCHF, PCAF and FSVP Lead Instructor. Charlie is also an accomplished television personality as a Food Network Chopped Finalist and Winner of the Great Food Truck Race (Series 7).
