Food Safety Guides
Michael and Charlie Kalish co-founded Food Safety Guides (FSG) in 2013, a U.S-based food safety consulting and training firm that specializes in U.S. regulatory compliance and food safety plan development.
Michael began his career in the dairy industry, with work on over a dozen farms across the USA, France, Switzerland and Italy. He received his formal training in food processing and food safety at l’istituto lattiero caseario e delle tecnologie agroalimentari (Italy), and has managed operations for food facilities in France and New York City. Michael is also an SQF trainer.
A former Fulbright scholar, Charlie is an expert on FSMA, preventive controls, and cloud technologies for food safety plan development. Prior to co-founding FSG, Charlie worked a half-dozen farms and cheese plants in Europe and the U.S., manufacturing and processing specialty cheese and milk products. Charlie is a frequent panelist and speaker for regulatory compliance panels and seminars.
